Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2021-22 school year. I hope you are relaxed, recharged and ready to start an exciting new school year. We are eagerly anticipating the full reopening of our campus and a return to 100% in person learning on August 17, 2021. Our continued commitment to fostering resilience, perseverance, grit, empathy, and a Si sé Puede attitude will undoubtedly help our students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Our team will continue to embed critical thinking and collaboration across all content areas. We will also continue working diligently to meet the diverse needs of our students through small group instruction, school-wide implementation of PBIS, and by providing meaningful and timely feedback to help students work towards academic mastery. We are also excited to announce San Joaquin Valley High School was recognized as a 2021 recipient of the Platinum Award for Schoolwide Positive Behavior Intervention Support. The deliberate work through PBIS to instill tools for self-regulation and emotional wellness will continue to be a part of our continued success.

I look forward to a very successful school year. Please stay involved, and call on your child’s teacher, counselor, or administrator for any assistance you may need during the 2021-2022 school year.

Sincerely,

Israel Almendarez, Principal
