Parlier Unified Family,
I would like to thank you all for your patience, understanding, and commitment during these unpredictable and difficult times. The COVID 19 virus presents unprecedented challenges. We continue to assess the situation daily and adjust our response to this extremely fluid situation. We continue to work closely with the Fresno County Public Department of Health, the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools, and our neighboring districts throughout Fresno County.
After much consideration, and in consultation with the Parlier Unified School District Board, it has been decided that all Parlier Unified School District schools will remain closed through Friday, May 1, 2020. At this time it is our intention to re-open schools to students on Monday, May 4, 2020. We recognize the hardship and concern this creates and look forward to supporting you and your family while we work to overcome this challenge.
All services currently provided by the district will continue through Friday, May 1, 2020:
* Grab and go meals
* Instructional materials and support
* Social emotional support
* The essential functions of the district
However, District operations and all services to students and families will be paused the week of April 6 (April 6 - April 13) in observance of our regularly scheduled Spring Break. Services to students and families and district operations will resume on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 and will continue through Friday, May 1, 2020.
These measures are precautionary and our best effort to respond to the concerns regarding the COVID 19 virus. Your safety is our top priority.
We miss our students and staff tremendously and can’t wait to have them all back. In the meantime, please continue to take the necessary measures to maintain good health.

Familia Unificada de Parlier,
Me gustaría agradecerles a todos por su paciencia, comprensión y compromiso durante estos tiempos impredecibles y difíciles. El virus COVID 19 presenta desafíos sin precedentes. Continuamos evaluando la situación diariamente y ajustamos cómo respondemos ante esta situación extremadamente fluida. Continuamos trabajando en estrecha colaboración con el Departamento de Salud Público del Condado de Fresno, el Superintendente de Escuelas del Condado de Fresno y nuestros distritos vecinos en todo el Condado de Fresno.
Después de mucha consideración, y de consultar con la Mesa Directiva del Distrito Escolar Unificado de Parlier, se decidió que todas las escuelas del Distrito Escolar Unificado de Parlier permanecerán cerradas hasta el viernes 1 de mayo de 2020. Por el momento es nuestra intención volver a abrir las escuelas a los estudiantes el lunes 4 de mayo de 2020. Reconocemos las dificultades y preocupaciones que esto crea y esperamos darles nuestro apoyo a usted y a su familia mientras trabajamos para superar este desafío.
Todos los servicios que el distrito prevé actualmente continuarán hasta el viernes 1 de mayo de 2020:
* Comida para llevar
* Materiales de instrucción y apoyo
* Apoyo social y emocional
* Las funciones esenciales del distrito
Sin embargo, las operaciones del Distrito y todos los servicios para estudiantes y familias pausarán durante la semana del 6 de abril (6 de abril - 13 de abril) en cumplimiento de nuestras vacaciones de primavera programadas regularmente. Los servicios a estudiantes y familias y las operaciones del distrito se reanudarán el martes 14 de abril de 2020 y continuarán hasta el viernes 1 de mayo de 2020.
Estas medidas son de precaución y es nuestro mejor esfuerzo para responder a las preocupaciones sobre el virus COVID 19. Su seguridad es nuestra principal prioridad.
Extrañamos a nuestros estudiantes y al personal muchisimo y estamos ansiosos por volver a verlos a todos. Mientras tanto, continúe tomando las medidas necesarias para mantener una buena salud.
